I am currently studying at CSUEB (NorCal), and had some internship experience. I try to look for that values work life balance and values staffs at all ages. Unlike young folks fresh out of college, I am almost 40 and this is my second degree (switched my career path). The firm I interned with have full of young folks and I felt like a bit left out. Any suggestions for a cpa firm that is family oriented, value staffs, and relatively has variety of staffs coming from different background? Thanks

I really can’t secure an Internship for this summer and I had someone from EY say that I was overqualified but I don’t think that’s true. To be honest, I am a bit late to the internship finding game just because I recently decided I wanted to go into consulting (was premed). Despite that I have a lot of background regarding leadership roles in entrepreneurship/business activities at my school. I’m starting to get discouraged and scared. Any tips or advice on this? Thank you!

I recently got 2 offers for this summer as Intern. One from Rio Tinto ( Mining Company here in Canada) (27,65$/hr) and i ll have to move closer of the site, (then i will pay appromatively 300$/month just for the rent) which is not included in the contract. The other one from Amazon as Area manager intern ( 29.04$/hr). Im currently student in mechanical engineering and gonna graduate on December of this year. My question is what is the best option for me for now and for the future?

I have my degree in Electrical Engineering (recent grad), and I’ve been thinking of non engineering roles to kind of give myself an engineering break bit still would love to make great money. I also don’t mind still being in tech. I have a lot of customer service experience and engineering internship experience as well. What companies/roles I should go for that will definitely hire me and see me as a good fit since I majored in EE? Anyone hiring recent grads?

Changed my company but it didn't update!

How many engagements do you substantively work on (let’s say, spend >2 weeks on) in a year? I’m a SC in public sector and probably get through 4, but that seems lower than I expected. Post your grade and industry too for context.

I’m worried my boss knows I keep breaking into their house. Most weekday evenings my boss is out dining with clients, so like any other junior employee I take that time to enter their home and go through their stuff. Last week my boss found my ID card in their bathtub (I needed a quick wash while there). While I’m not doing anything technically wrong, I don’t want to create friction at work. Any advice?
