Hi everyone! I recently accepted a new job with a Big 4 and am also newly engaged. I have a couple of concerns… the main one being that I may not have enough time off for 2022 to cover taking off for the wedding, honeymoon, and then a couple of other weddings where I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid. Do you think there would be any wiggle room with managers allowing time off, or is it generally pretty strict? (Continued in comments)
Just left Big 4 consulting for sales strategy at a Tier 2 tech co (LinkedIn, Salesforce, etc.). Bain reached out today, any good reason to entertain?
Do big 4 firms care about where you work? Say you want to work remotely in a different city, is there tax implications (they make you report your physical work location)
What’s the best way to get into crypto? Finally left the big 4 world where independence sucked and made me jump through a bunch of hoops just to invest in anything from certain stocks to crypto. Looking to learn a lot.
Divorced M 🐠 here who's scared of commitment now. For people looking for an LTR, how certain are you about someone b4 you decide to go exclusive? For e.g. 25% or 75% that he/she is the right person?
Super naive question but how does one go about shifting to a different big 4 and then leverage a raise/ higher position? Do you get contacted by recruiters or reach out? Thinking to switch next year
How much experience do you need to be seriously considered for jobs that ask for “5 years” experience? I have 1.5 years of Big 4 experience. Do you typically include the 2-3 years of college (basic bookkeeping) level accounting jobs / internships as experience as well? (Including college part time accounting jobs gets me closer to 4-5 years experience - just not sure if that’s generally viewed as “valid” experience)
New To the Big 4 and having trouble articulating my individual goals on Workday. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is there any B4 firm(except KPMG) that hire experienced associate in FDD? I am looking around the web and most seems to be looking for only seniors. (PwC does but practically Senior cuz they require 2 years of experience)
For those in big 4, how much time between accepting an offer and start date have you been able to ask for? Is a month feasible/how should one phrase it? Two weeks just doesn’t feel like enough with this heavy burnout/having to wrap up deals at old firm
Does Big 4 hires H1-B transfers for the positions that they originally don’t hire someone for who would go through H1-B lottery?
What does M&A consulting at big 4 look like, especially at the entry level? All my previous experience is in audit/tax and I know nothing about consulting, just wanted to try something new. I liked my finance courses in undergrad, but not sure how relevant that is. Would I have ANY transferable skills from my accounting background? Can you explain what the work is like for a new hire? Especially if you've made a similar switch?
Thoughts on switching to a mid-tier or local firm? Currently, work for a big 4 and feel I’m getting screwed over on manager promotion.
How valuable is industry experience? Standard advice is stay in B4 till manager, but I see managers saying they struggle to find jobs because they lack industry experience. Trying to decide whether I
Do Big 4 give more time to settle down in the new job compared to a mid size? Does it work the same way when people are asked to improve before the firing i.e, big 4 gives more time to improve?
Everyone talks about career suicide if you leave big 4 too soon, but shouldn’t overall life satisfaction be more important?
Thoughts on exiting to a FAANG L6 Strategy role or waiting until July for my impending promotion to manager? Do we think I can push the start date out to August?
Warning to anyone flying from LGA coming from the city/BK- gridlock is starting way back at the Koscuiuszko Bridge, instead of the exit to the airport itself. Adds an easy extra 40 min to the commute

The daily internal struggle of trying to decide if the project is legitimately poorly designed and managed, or if I'm just a dummy for not "getting it." 🤔

During the interview, my reporting manager told me that I need to relocate to the city where the Job is, now that I've accepted the offer, can I ask to be remote and if it cannot be granted, can I back up from the offer?
I’m up for promotion to manager in a couple months and not looking forward to it. Seems like it’s a lot of process management, pushing back every direction and very isolating (contd)
About to take an offer at EY. Want a baby soon and saw the great news about increased parental leave. Question is, can u use vacation time consecutively with it? Right now most on leave take 5 months

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
