Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

This is only a Deloitte thing. I was there. I left to another consulting firm where staffing is objective.
Network based staffing allows for implicit biases to take over.
Can I DM any of you for a quick chat ?
I’ve hopped around a few firms including another big 4, and it wasn’t as bad. There are major implicit biases and racial micro aggressions at Deloitte when it comes to finding a project. Try DPN and set up coffee chats with people who look like you or went to the same school/ some sort of connection, you essentially have to network to land something. Also, be proactive about reaching out to postings rather than waiting for your resource manager. At first I thought I was being sensitive but i’ve come across many POCs with the same experience and mediocre people of other races who never have an issue finding projects and even at times leaving to pursue another account when it’s not a fit for them. Good luck and feel free to DM me. I’m on my way out but can provide some tips on good Ms/SMs that are supportive. I second BEN, great place to start.
Yeah it’s been very frustrating. I have really seen implicit biases but I’m so scared to call it out because I’m so new and don’t know the deloitte culture yet. It’s been hard on me mentally can’t lie
Enjoy your bench time. Try to get a certificate and continue looking for your next job. Trust me, Deloitte is not a decent place.

Focus more of your time networking in the firm. Happy hours meetups. Need to find a champion for you. Your coach should be able to provide insight. But if not strike up reaching out to people at sc, manager, sm, director. I had the same problem when I first started at Deloitte and used this to get on better projects and opportunities
What level are you? In general, analysts and consultants have a higher chance of being staffed than SCs. It might also be based on which projects/roles you’re going after.
I guess it depends. I’m a new associate with no advisory experience and just started and I was assigned a project very quickly because the person I interviewed with remembered my background/experience in a relevant area for the project. I recommend that you start networking and talk to your manager about it.
Try and get plugged in to your local BEN network as well
I just started as well, but I was staffed pretty quickly, but I did network my ass off. Have you reached out to your resource manager?
Network and set up a regular meeting with your practice talent lead. Introduce yourself and find out what projects have tight resources. They will know what projects are coming in the pipeline also so they can help you to get staffed.
Hey, are you in Commercial Consulting? DM me and I try and connect you with some right folks.
