As former USMC, be ready to deploy. It’s a different era. You need to ready at all times to get called up. This can be very hard if you aren’t prepared

Specifically considering OCS and JAG Corps (I’m a licensed attorney). Is this doable as a consultant? Thanks in advance
DONT DO IT!
JAG can direct commission. Avoid OCS if possible. It's doable as a consultant but there will be challenges. Whether it's worth it depends on what you're looking to get out of a military career.
I went through Army OCS a couple years ago. Very doable.
Agree with @P1, mobilization is very real right now. If you join, be ready.
P1 is absolutely correct - I have 5 years left...and just can’t get out now...just started my consulting career too...just sucks.
Accenture: were you prior active duty? Or did you go reserves straight away?
JAG is 8 years versus OCS route (6 years + 2 IRR). Need to think about the two timelines...
