Hey guys, just accepted a 110k + bonus + options at a bay tech company for a Sr. Rev. Accountant position. I’m wondering where I should be headed trajectory wise in my career after this position in 1-5 years to try and get my base comp to 200-300k+? Should I be looking at getting promoted to a controller role? Is there something in between? Previously managed finances like a controller (but as a Sr. Accountant) for a smaller 100 employee SaaS company before this. 21M for reference

Would you take high risk / high reward consulting gig at a small firm? Comp is hourly and project based. Firm has a good foothold in the niche market. Offers lots of flexibility. But no benefits and since it’s project and hourly based it’s feast or famine. If you have a partner (spouse, domestic partner, etc.) and they had a stable job, would it change your perspective of taking the high risk/high reward role?

Are IB bonus numbers as bad as I've been hearing this year? Heard middle bucket was ~30-40k most places and that that full range was $15-60k.

I started a new job and am trying to set boundaries but this is one that I cannot set as it is standard practice. In our state, an employer must reimburse you if they direct you to use your personal phone for work.
