Say, I am working for a company in a project where client is Microsoft. Can Microsoft give me a direct employment offer if they are impressed with my work or will it violate non-compete clause of current company?

Department of public safety - make an appointment ASAP, they book 4+ months out, might help to get an appointment a bit outside of Austin for better availability
DPS. You can show up in person and they have a certain amount of slots reserved for walk ins. I did that and was taken care of the same day. A1 is right though, the appointments fill up for months out
Thank you for all the kind responses. I did some research online and it says “by appointment only”. Should I assume that they definitely allow walk-in to get appointment scheduled?
I did that at the beginning of the year and had no issues. A friend who came with me had to make an appointment for the following Wednesday (we came on a Friday morning). I received the last walk-in appt for that day.

The Pflugerville location is really available. I always make an appointment and continually check for new availabilities. Can usually go same week and get it done pretty quick.
Yup! Make sure you have all documents in orders. I had a for that was trying to give me issues because my bank was in Puerto Rico and she was not accepting it although that is a US territory. The manager ultimately overruled her but if it wasn’t for him she would’ve denied me
Read up on the requirements to transfer a foreign license before you go though. I’m fairly certain you need to complete both the knowledge and practice test. Also read up what documents you need to bring w you so you avoid having to go multiple times
The office in Georgetown runs out of walk-in appointments pretty quick. The lady at the office told me to check the website at 7:30 AM on Monday bc apparently they clear the list. I was able to get an appointment that Thursday.

They do not offer walk-in appointments anymore in most of the DPS offices. I was told to check for same day appointments online at 7:30 am (as mentioned in the previous comment). I just recently went through the whole process (moved here from Europe) so DM me if you have further questions. I might be able to answer them.
