Since my elementary age kids starting remote school and our region still hard hit by COVID, two of my clients have checked in to see how it’s going but nobody at my firm has even acknowledged the situation. I’ve always been well aware that coworkers are not friends and kept work and personal very separate but there is a humanity to this particular situation that feels especially depressing when going unacknowledged. Is this just me?

So.... how bad would it be to bail on an internship halfway through? Asking for a friend.

I have received an offer as SD1 at Amazon Gurgaon. I have 1 yr and 6 months of experience. I did my BTech in computer science from 2016-20. I had some active backlogs as well. Due to covid, many exams were not conducted and as for the ones that did happen, the results are taking forever to come. Right now I have one backlog and the result is yet to be announced. I am positive I will pass. Will this affect my offer from Amazon during background check as I am yet to receive degree?

Looking for advice: I have an analyst (9 months on the job) who still doesn’t get it - repeatedly misses comments, doesn’t follow instructions, slow, etc. I have raised this to both my MDs and they seem to be adopting a “not my problem” approach when I mention it. So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting.
