Lol you're not gonna get a transfer if you just joined, assuming this is your first big boy job and especially if you're in audit.
Best bet is to do your 1-2 years experience in audit and then you can either transfer internally or apply to another firm. From what I've read, it seems like jumping ship to another company is the path of least resistance, since you won't deal with the red tape/bureaucracy and pushback from your team.
Thanks! Yeh I doubt I’ll get transfer I did see people do that but he literally just “start over” as a new joiner. It’s so annoy we don’t have the rotation scheme. I’m under a three-year ACA qualification so it might be complicated if I jumped to another firm, they also sponsor my visa so I’m sorted of tied to them at least for the first three years. I was thinking asking about he transfer after my second busy season. Or I have to wait after I qualified.
I don’t think it will be possible to switch internally, if you’ve only been there for a month. It usually takes 2-3 years before you are able to ask and get transferred internally. Granted, you could work at this place for now and look at other employers. You don’t have much experience, so you might need to work on building that up.
Definitely! Yeh working as audit does feel you’ll learn a lot and building up skills quickly. I might wait for a year or two. I heard it’ll easier to jump to another firm or just transfer once you get qualified
They usually have a 1 year requirement before you can internally transfer
