Have others found it hard to transition from Audit to Financial Analyst? All the recruiters I’m meeting with are telling me I probably won’t get an interview since they’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running.
It’s discouraging because I’m a fast learner, and from talking to my friends who are Financial Analysts, it doesn’t seem like what we do is so dissimilar.

I got a call from PwC India for interview and I already have an offer from PwC SDC Kolkata, where I will be joining next month. Should I consider giving interview to PwC India Entity? Guys I have an offer from Deloitte USI for collections Analyst position with 115% hike overall. This is for B2B collections. Should I now go for an interview with ICICI Bank for debt manager position?

I cleared two rounds in a product company. I had to follow up everytime for interview scheduling. For third round, it's still pending and they say onshore panel not available and no update. Another hr from same company also asks if you would join. I don't understand . Why I have to follow up to schedule my interviews? Is this how it works?

Early into career in Technology Consulting at a large firm (think Big 4). Have some experience in implementation and it has been fine but not where I see myself long term. Currently 13 yoe, mba,pmp,making 122k in DC area. I am focused in Java development working in federal with TS sci ci poly. I did try Amazon didn't get it but have a couple of potential offers from fed consulting or contractors ~190k base. I know I need to get more experience in cloud and cicd to make myself more marketable. I think MS could be option but need FSP and couple of coworkers think not worth it.

For SaaS/tech consultants who’ve made the switch to software development, how did you do it? I know I have potential to be a good software developer but am pigeon holed with my niche SaaS ‘coding’ skills.

I used to do staffing. Involved cold calling And spamming clients and emails. People treated recruiters as middlemen, a noise and felt disrespectful.

But it’s not easy profession - to specialize and win in a niche.

I know it could be automated and give an experience to candidates and clients by making it ondemand, instant and specialization. I saw a Vision to turn this recruiting business into ondemand staffing companies like Airbnb - just publish talent and do the transaction.
