Um, that's a very AlixPartners view...
PE are vultures that take advantage of a broken system to profit. Almost all Google-able research on PE in healthcare indicate that patients and HCPs are harmed the most.
Especially around the unnecessary procedures on vulnerable groups that are done by PE owned orgs in order to hit specific KPI goals regardless of need or demographics of the area.
PE owned- Patient benefits? Almost never. Savings to the bottom line? Almost always.
The SVP on your Alix project delivery team should be able to cover off on this fairly well I imagine.

Literally nothing. I just finished a PE Strategy project the PE firm didn’t ask about quality 1 time. PE in healthcare is like PE in anything, try to make as much money as possible. It wasn’t at Huron either.
there are 0 patient or provider benefits to PE ownership and a ton of drawbacks. but rev cycle go brrr

As a direct benefit to the patient I agree nothing. As a keep the doors open for areas that are hard hit through the usage of the PE funds maybe.
PE firms are not trying to improve quality unless they have no other choice. “Good thing” in healthcare is that you pretty can be reimbursed for bad service as long as you know how to deal with payers.
