PHR vs SHRM vs AIRS? Which one should I pursue?
Freenome is a diagnostic company looking to expand our Quality Assurance Team. Our company is growing and we are seeking a talent in Florida that can work part-time (20 hours/week): GCP (Good Clinical Practice) Auditor. We are open to considering various backgrounds, with preference to those with experience in startup, diagnostic, biotech, or life science environments. www.freenome.com/careers
That seems low at first glance, it’s less than 60k annualized. Going rate is double that at a lot of tech companies so would negotiate if I were you!
Have you asked about an equity stake in the company? If they plan to IPO at some point, that could make the low hourly worth it. That said, I would also have a conversation about what they expect to pay for this position FT - otherwise, they may just assume they can roll the hourly rate into a FT salary.
Another important consideration - have you reviewed your employment agreement with your current company? Could what you’re doing violate any noncompete clause you’re currently under? If so, you should 1) decide if violating that clause is a risk you want to take; 2) ask the startup if/how they plan to assist/support you if your current company comes after you; 3) find out if the startup is willing/able to take you on FT now at a decent salary so you can avoid any conflict (assuming your current noncompete ends with your employment. If it doesn’t, you will want to talk to your current company about the startup you’re looking to join and see if they can work out a solution that lets you pursue what you want while protecting their legitimate business interests).
Since you’re in TA, I’d also take a hard look at any nonsolicit in your current agreement.
That’s very low. Make sure you know what you’re doing and sell yourself.
