Hey 🐠! I’m applying for EB-2 visa and I’m going through PERM and the confirmation of minimum skill requirements. I don’t qualify for all of the requirements for my role. What do you do in a situation like that?

I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.

Have to do a case where they haven’t given me an entry / exit multiple. It’s software focused. What’s the best way to go about this and what metric should I do (e.g. Fwd revenue vs EBITDA)

Don’t have access to pitch book or anything from work just desktop.

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

2.5 YOE, 6.2 LPA Mainframe, recently got an offer from TCS for Mainframe Developer position with 7.5Lpa. My project Director called me and willing to match the salary here in Cognizant. He said i will be eligible for yearly hike as well.

Please suggest if truly I will be eligible for yearly hike after being retained and is it good to stay overall.

P.S - TCS gave 7.5 on top of 5.1 LPA, 6.2 is what i got recently in April promotion for Associate.

I am getting offered in the 75-80K range for an AVP audit role with Citi, C12. Travel role- up to 75%. 6 yoe in the industry.
I was being offered another C12 role a few months back that was in another business line, but 10K more a year. Same market- Kansas City. Worked for Citi before. This wouldn’t really be much of a pay bump for me unless the bonus potential is there as well.

Now today(8th sept) I got call from there consultant that i got selected and have to submit required documents. I did submitted all the docs. But i had no HR round for salary discussion.. 7th year of H1b and have I140 PD in June 2020 (Chinese)... getting tired of my current job and want to do a MBA then switch career. Is it still possible? Would I be able to extend my H1b after I graduate say two years later for a new employer, even if the job has completely changed - say from business consultant to a tech manager?
