Hey everyone! I’m currently in my last year as a consultant and I’ve just been riddled with anxiety because of my job. I feel I’m not assertive enough to make manger, and have been struggling to work on projects that actually interests me. I’ve been looking for new jobs but nothing stuck so far. I was thinking of exploring product management, but was wondering if this is a better job for an introvert? I don’t want a role that is too technical either. Any advice?

99% of male depression is simply a lack of purpose. You didn't fight a war. You didn't do shit. You have no "trauma". You've sat in a house all your life. YOU HAVEN'T DONE SHIT That's why you're feeling depressed. Go build something. ANYTHING.

When people ask you for YOE, do you include your time in grad school at all? I feel like writing that you have 2 YOE when you’re 30 years old gives a warped sense of level and compensation.

Can anyone throw some light on how a typical salesforce licensing deal is priced? What are the pricing levers pulled to bring down the price? How do typical negotiations with clients go? Looking for general guidance ; not specific numbers.

Hello all! I have 6 years of experience in finance and just now transitioned to UI/UX. What should be my asking salary for first job in UI/UX?
I turned down a freelance gig today for the first time ever. It was for a logo design and I thought "I don't want to design a logo right now. I want to focus on UX projects." And so I kindly explained that it wasn't something I could take on at the moment.
It was a good feeling to be at a point where I'm not willing to take anything for a bit of experience and cash.

I’m an aspirating entrepreneur building a chrome budgeting extension (similar to honey, except we show you your personal finances instead of coupons, so you can make informed shopping decisions). We have a 10 minute survey testing our wireframes. I’d really appreciate if folks here could take it. We’ll pay you for taking it as well :) Please check out the survey at Okane-App.com! Thanks again

Im working at a big multi-product company and we're having 5 dedicated product teams, however, teams are working in silos. Each team's has its own process, design system, technology etc. We identified that most of the teams use and need components that were already conceptualised, designed and developed, for our other products, and we are starting to create a global set of components, a global design system that we will use on all our products. What is your approach?

HELP: I currently do-not create written content for web designs (for multiple reasons). I have one client in particular who has been stringing me along for content for months. I have had many meetings and even sent her a content outline with strategy for her services content (not in the scope of work) to help her. Unfortunately, nothing. I started the website design and She has even had another photo shoot and still no content. Q: Do you ask for ALL content before CONTRACT.

Got promoted to design manager 🙌🏽
Any advice you wish someone gave you when you first lead a team?
Recently been told I'm favored to be the Associate Director of my domain, but I'm on the fence of getting into that level of management. I was just promoted to Sr level this time around. My manager hinted at some of the downsides and hardships of management without getting into the weeds.

I’m a well-seasoned generalist senior designer looking for a new role. I’ve been applying to brand and editorial design roles primarily because that's where my experiences are—despite coming from advertising and marketing years ago.
I’m currently a Senior AD in-house on an editorial team focusing on custom editorial experiences. It’s a weird role, and I’m not sure where to go after this.
I don't know if I've backed myself into a corner or need a mentor or something, lol.
