What is the best consulting firm for public service work? I’ve been at Accenture for a year now since graduating college. To me, the compensation seems very competitive, and there are a fair number of PS clients, but I don’t know how it compares to other firms. Wondering what else is out there in the way of public service/impact consulting.
My new salary kicks in starting on my next paycheck which puts me over the limit of contributing to a Roth IRA. Do I need to immediately stop and open a traditional IRA or can I wait till the tax year is over?
I have been seeing a lot of discussions/ questions about the bad WLB at Deloitte among folks. Guys, Deloitte is a highly reputed firm that is known for the quality of work. They charge heavily to clients. (Almost 5-6 times hourly rate than a typical IT firm). Naturally, the clients want to get the work done ASAP with quality. Hence there is a massive amount of work pressure on the management and the resources. Deloitte compensates their resources really well along with providing a lot of Perks.
Accenture vs PwC comparison (Development, Comp, Exit Ops, etc.) - would love to see firm in title to reveal any potential bias, even if you’re being objective. Thanks!
When negotiating at a creative agency, if they don’t budge on salary, will I have better luck asking for more relocation $ or a signing bonus? (For a mid-level position)
Currently a consultant at Deloitte but interviewing with EY..I have industry (cap 1) & advisory experience from Accenture. What should my salary range be when speaking with EY recruiter. **located in Washington, D.C.
I’m a staff w/ MS in Comp Sci. What avenues or roles exist for someone to exit into the industry (mostly big tech) after spending 2 years at a big 4? Is it sensible to wait until you’re a Manager (4 years) and why if this is the case ? What about making a move within the first year itself?
Does anyone here work at Crowe? What is the salary range for a healthcare senior consultant? YOE - 3 + MBA. Location: remote. Travel: 25- 40%. Also interested in other opinions of Senior consultant salaries at other firms. TY!
What can I expect hours/bonus wise in the Deals (TS) group? Looks like I'm gonna have a chance to transfer over but want more insight
I have an interview soon and suspect their salary band is below what I would accept even in a best-case (glassdoor shows about half of my current TC). Is it rude to push through and see what happens?
Can anyone share what salary one can expect for PwC, SC Columbia (SDC) at Associate level? Have heard there are multiple levels i.e. Analyst, Specialist and so on.
Hi all! Potential move Connor Group. Currently a Staff 2 at EY. SM from Connor Group has told me that there should be an upgrade in salary and more relaxed work pace. I believe him. Any info/ advice ?

I’m making about $100k a year currently in a MCOL city. I’m single with no kids, no debt, rent is $1k/mo and I’m maxing my 401k and IRA. Would I be a fool buying a $65-70k car? I’m a car guy so I already have a pretty cool car with only 40k on the clock, but have been considering upgrading. Thoughts?
25M 2k budget for my part and don't mind sharing with people (2 others maybe 3). No office, so wfh or traveling to client cities when travel is back to normal. Where should I live? Currently considering Manhattan, LIC, Brooklyn, Hoboken and JC If Manhattan, how nice of a place can I get and in what neighborhoods?
Captain your career they said, you pick your specialty they said, the culture is great they said. 🤦🏽♂️
Does anyone remember the “nudge” on MSN that used to shake up the screen? Wish we could do the same with Slack or emails 😂
Thoughts on the future of Zoom and Nio. Currently making a loss on these holdings. Hold/ Sell?
Setting up a 401k for the first time. Did you decide to do pre-tax or post-tax? Why did you decide that? Retirement savings and options are all overwhelming!
For those of you living alone, how are you keeping yourself entertained during social distancing? I’m hundreds of miles from my family and the loneliness is starting to get really hard. Zoom/FaceTime calls seem to make the feeling worse, not better. I just feel so isolated. I’ve gone for some outdoor walks with a friend who lives nearby, but otherwise I go weeks without in-person interactions. Any suggestions?
Are the big 4 the only consulting companies that requires work papers after each engagement? Seems like an audit thing.

Hey everyone! I’m looking to move out to London, I lost my projects due to COVID and if anyone could help me out with a referral in the UK or Europe I’d be very grateful! I can offer a good wine and dine in exchange! 🍾🍱
Can’t get over depression around one mistake. I don’t want to get too specific but it was financial related and involved missing out on a massive amount of money. I didn’t hurt anyone and i also got happily married and got a puppy this year. I’ve had a rough year at work (largely because of depression) but they stuck by me and now I’m on a great role with a team i love. Also lots of interviews. And yet, i can’t get over this one thing and “what could have been.” hate how ungrateful I’m being.
On the bench for the third week, reached out to demand, my coach, RP and my network etc. Decided to catch up on some workout and laundry today. Shall I feel guilty?
I am currently in the final stage of a process for a customer (sales) engineer position at Google cloud. The recruiter has asked me to think about my ideal compensation in terms of base salary, bonus and equity, to then have a more details discussion with her about it. Anyone with knowledge on how bonus for a sales position and equity works at Google could give some tips/guidance? Thanks!
