I studied SCM in college but I’ve been working through tech implementations on the ptp side for about 4 years now - it’s been all indirect client work though and no supply chain. How tough is it to pivot to more process and supply chain based strategy projects - do I need to get my mba. At a smaller firm now and feel like I’d have to jump to an Accenture to actually have the ability to do that kind of work (logistics and trade optimization, planning, manufacturing)

For anyone who is in the Financial Services niche for audit, do you think fund admin at a 20%-25% pay bump is a good exit move as you hit senior? Is the MBB name really worth it over Big4, T2, Boutiques in terms of exit opps? Would love to hear from experienced hires who have insight into both types of exits (MBB vs other) to better comp and wlb (tech is ideal but any industry works). I know type of case work factors heavily into opportunities but how much does the MBB name really open? Is that name recognition worth leveling down to grind for another few years?

I'm 27..been working at KPMG for 6 years in advisory practice as a generalist (soft tagged to tech, media, telco). Consulting is really not my thing. I really don't know what else to do either. I'm applying for MBA this to explore my options. But I'm worried my past experience would only lead me to a Post-MBA consulting job. How do I exit this industry when I don't know where to go to? PS: would really appreciate some suggestions. Quite desperate and in crisis here. No KPMG jokes please.

Any advice on how to handle an ECD in charge of your salary who says the only way to get a promotion or even a COL raise of any kind is through winning an award? Not consistently reliable and solid performance. Not keeping the client happy and profitable. “You either win an award, or all ya get is to keep your job.” And yes, I’m aware leaving is always an option, but eager for any other advice how to navigate.

Any stories of people getting admitted to the NY bar despite getting fired from their first legal job? For context I was fired from my first big law job during Covid-April last year, due to performance issues and failure to meet billables. They’ve remained somewhat neutral on my employment affidavit by leaving the box regarding satisfactory performance blank and indicating it’s firm policy to only verify dates of employment. Am rather nervous! Thoughts? Has anyone gone through this? How?

Constantly hearing keeping money just siting in the bank isn’t a good idea and I should have my money “working for me”. So for someone who knows nothing about investing (other than having a 401k and opened a Roth recently), where to begin with investing/where else should I put my money? Stocks require caution due to independence requirements at my current firm.
