I used to entertain multiple times weekly, network, do a lot of travel, being busy, shopping/materialism etc. Unfortunately a lot of this was included in a toxic relationship I was in. Over time with COVID, lot has changed. I moved states, left the toxic relationship, things are different and I have much smaller group of friends, it’s better but I can’t help but compare my old life and feel like I’m not appearing to *doing* as well compared to peers or my old self despite being a lot happier.

Hi! What are travel expectations like at a&m?

Does anyone know anything about Dave Ramsey? It feels like a cult. My friends swear by him but I can’t figure out his logic. Like people that follow him insist you pay off a car loan at 1% interest before you invest anything.. or are completely anti credit card even if you use it for the points… what am I missing? It feels like the plan may be for lower income people who don’t manage money well but that may be completely ignorant of me?

I currently am on 150k in industry but want to leave to go into consulting as I feel like I've reached a ceiling in progression at my current workplace. The offer I have from BIG4 and a boutique is 90k and 70k respectively. Would you take it? Pros: faster career progression, more travel, more diverse projects. Cons: pay cut, longer hours, current workplace has great bonuses and incentives. Has anyone done this?

Has anyone started traveling yet? Client’s city has not had an outbreak and I’m slated to travel soon. I’m fairly nervous and refuse to fly so looking at driving 5-6 hours. I also have a young kid and my husband works lengthy hours so I’m pretty apprehensive but don’t feel like I’m at liberty to decline travel.
