If your relationship and bank account are stable, I think those are the two most important things. Kids are expensive AF and they will make you hate your partner some days :)
I also have the best husband ever. So patient. So helpful (and chores are not help, they are responsibility, i mean other things above and beyond) so ready to see him with a little mimi us that has him wrapped around his finger! đ
My only concern was do we have enough in our banks just in case of any emergencies. We had a number in our heads and started trying once we hit half of it, mind you the trying part itself takes 1-6 months. So start ahead to make sure you have time to address any issues if need be.
Thank you all! I think the half of the planned emergency fund is a great tip! And hopefully it can be fully met by the time the baby comes.
I totally had a travel list too that was swiftly thwarted since March and COVID. Now that seems like a "nice to have" because who knows when we can travel again.
Personally, I think money/debt and relationship are worthwhile reasons to consider delaying. There will always be vacations you wish you'd taken or a body that you wish you had, so those are not as good of reasons to wait.
There will always be debt. Bigger house, bigger car, etc. I think the key is financial stability, as long as you (and partner if thereâs one in picture) have steady/ stable income I think youâre fine. Honestly babies donât need much, we buy all the gadgets and Knick knacks for our convenience. When they get older (sports, college, vacations, etc.) then they get pretty expensive
