Hey mammas that breastfeed/pump. I’m 6 mo pp, and exclusively BF except for 1-2 pumping sessions a day where she does get a bottle. Since day 1 of pumping, I was using a flange too big, didn’t know right away until working with an IBCLC and one of the pump companies sizing experts. I’m using 28mm, according to my measurements I should be using 20/21. I know, huge size difference, my problem is, anytime I try to use the correct size, my output is crap. So I just keep using the bigger size…

Lately I’ve been getting discomfort though, pinching, so I know the size is bothersome. I don’t know what to do though because I get bad output with the correct size but good output with the wrong size but with discomfort. Anyone else been through this? My IBCLC says it’s possible I need the bigger size because my nipples may be more elastic… I’d like to use the correct size si I stop getting rings around my nipples from pumping and I’m sure it’s not helping the vasospasms.

You can try silicone inserts, a bunch of options on Amazon. The silicone/rubber will help with the elastic nipples and could improve your output

Ok I’ll look into them. Thank you

Hello People,
Looking for advice based on experience. Currently living with in-laws that have come to support us with our first baby. My in-laws and I have had a rocky start to our relationship due to ours being an inter-religion marriage. Many things have been said that I’m neither able to forgive nor forget. I have a very kind husband who understands my sentiments but wants to try to have a cordial relationship with them now for the sake of our baby (and baby’s relationship with grandparents)

I was in a position of leadership before being demoted earlier this year. It wasn’t called that, but I was given a different role and they hired someone to take my spot. My boss has since expressed regret for this decision calling it hasty on his end

I had access to all the things I was managing for months into my new role and discovered when they hired 5 new entry level positions, all got 45k (women) except one, who got a 60k (1man). The 60k man works on my team and is sort of awful.

Rant: I finally got a baby registry started and sent the link to family... and immediately was told all the things I need on there that I don't have (including things I'm opting to just NOT GET, like an electric pump - why is my nursing preference up for debate????). I hate it already. I'm tempted to take it down, buy it all myself and just tell people to start a college fund if it bothers them.

I'm 38, have had 4 miscarriages and the PRESSURE OF THIS PREGNANCY is unreal.

Is it normal to have let down just on one side? I am 1 week postpartum. On day 4, I had to rush to ER for some@severe pain and was stuck there for 5 hours. During this time I had let down just on my right breast. I assumed the lefy one didn’t have any because I had placed a medella soreness gel pad there. Today again j was sleeping and woke up to feed baby. RealIzed I had let down again only on right side despite more having any gel pad. Is this normal? Should i be worried?
