Thoughts on exiting to a FAANG L6 Strategy role or waiting until July for my impending promotion to manager? Do we think I can push the start date out to August?

Currently work at AWS in Business Intelligence and am looking to transfer into Product Management. Looking at MBB eventually. In my experience, most people from MBB have FAANG as their exit op. Why?
Looking for a entry level to mid level position in marketing or integrated marketing…have experience managing social/ digital media but want to learn how to execute paid tactics. Located in Northern NJ and looking in NYC potentially too. Thanks in advance.
After 6 yrs of PM/PO out of college working for Cigna, I was informed my position is being eliminated due to “staff reductions to combat with rising costs of healthcare.” I was offered severance & I’ve got several positions in the works with the same company thankfully. I was caught off-guard, never had a bad review & was expecting a promotion soon. If there’s ever been a sign to jump ship it’s now. I’m an enthusiastic PM ready to embrace new challenges. Any1 want to hire me? DM for resume! 🤝 🤞🏼
I am in cloud engineering. My current salary is 140k and this is my milestone year to become manager. I have been getting offers from non FAANG companies but capped at 150- 165k. All roles are typically through service companies and of cloud engineer profile. My dilemma is that I don’t know if I should exit to lesser known firms since brand is of some importance to me. 1. Are the salaries being quoted normal for cloud ? 2. Is it worth leaving at this point of my career or should I make the move
Kind of a different question ... for those who made the move to PE, any questions or things you wish you would’ve asked / known when you were interviewing that you know now working in the role?
I lost my last job a few weeks before Christmas last year and it took me a long while to find a new one. Ultimately I ended up moving to a new city for a job I was really excited about. However, within the first few weeks I suffered a major medical setback which led to a crippling bout of depression. I am finally starting to feel like a person again but I'm afraid the ship has sailed on my having success in my new role.
Genuine question: What are the most common exit options at Google BizOps? (1) For internal transfer to PM, those teams seem to prefer to hire Google engineers. (2) For internal transfer to Chief of Staff, why those teams don’t promote their own Strategy & Op folks? (3) For BizOps internal promotion, there are not many Director positions. (4) For leaving Google, I don’t know where people usually go… Please share your thoughts / correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks!

I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again. Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)
Can anyone help me with a question on Twilio? I’ve been looking at a role called Senior Product Strategist and see other people with the same YOE online with the title Principal Product Strategist. What’s the difference in these titles and how do grade levels at Twilio work? What’s the appropriate grade level from someone with 8-9 YOE? Thank You 🙏 Twilio Inc.
Salary negotiation Applied to a job, agreed a salary expectation of £125k to £135k. Discussed range as achievable on two separate occasions. 3 interview rounds later, offer of £106k. Strong pushback from me on the call and a follow up note. Awaiting a revised offer. Any thoughts on that strong a lowball opening offer? I am both irritated and intrigued.
Hi folks, Does anyone have a referral offer for 1 year experienced Associate Consultant/Business Analyst. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks
How is Galt for post MBA consultants? Seems like the pay could be really high... has anyone experienced moving from Big4 to Galt at that level? Believe it would just be a consultant role and my understnading is that is the same title as people out of undergrad with a very, very large pay band
Does anyone have any insight into the culture at Vinson & Elkins in Texas? I am considering lateraling and would appreciate any insight.
My tech client wants a “Think Different” type of manifesto ad that will run for a year and magically increase their diversity hires while publicly making them look like (cont’d)
Does anybody have a view on the growth path / trajectory for a Strategy and Ops Lead? I didn't get a very clear sense in my interviews, esp. because it feels like there is 1 manager for the team and so there is not a lot of scope for organic upward movement. Is it only through lateral moves within the org? You get enough tenure for the next role then find an opp to switch?
My TC is $550K at an E6 role, but I think a paycut may be inevitable. No startups I've spoken to can match my TC, including paper RSU. I also spoke with Twitter and their max for staff is the high 500s. Can anyone even match my TC?
What is the maternity policy in Big4? In EY we need to work for at least an year and we get 16 weeks paid parental leave+ 2 weeks short term disability leave.
Legit question: now that 90% of you all don’t have an expense account or travel, why are you doing consulting? Wlb and pay are shit, professional dev opps are good but can be developed in 2-3 years - so why not leave after

If your employer did one thing in response to coronavirus, what would you want that one thing to be?
COVID helped us see that some meetings really could be emails. ZOOM helped turn those emails back into meetings. Ah, technology.
EY’s application status changed to “we’d like to progress you to the next step….” 4 weeks ago no referral and still no follow up. Should I just assume i’ve been 👻
What is the salary range for SM in Accenture UK, London based? Do they offer RSUs as well?
I feel for all of those being laid off. Truly best of luck finding something. One thing I realized as a millennial in consulting is job security is non existent.
Forced ranking question: When thinking about your last career move, rank in order of importance which influenced your choice the most? A. Prestige of new employer organization B. I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Hey everyone! I have passed L1 and L2 interviews in Birlasoft, have HR interview tomorrow. Profile - python AWS developer Work exp - 2.5 years, Wipro Limited How much hike should I expect/ask for?
Any recs for a semi-affordable, last minute get away? I’m still 100% remote, I’m burned out & I need a change of scenery for a few days. I’d plan to go for a long weekend & then work remotely for part & take part completely off.
