OP - honestly, no one cares about PMO, it’s a highly commoditized skill. Global firm becomes secondary of your core value prop is PMO
Hey they hired me so they'll hire just about everyone. :D Yes, you'd be considered. It may be harder to get recruited as an experienced hire vs. undergrad/MBA though.
Ii wouldn’t expect you being considered for a consultant position though but rather associate
Here’s a step by step guide:
1) Over invest in finding someone senior in MBB who can refer you
2) Please work on messaging your value prop properly. “2 years PMO at a global firm” won’t even let you come into the lobby. Dig deeper and work with you referee to craft something better
3) Maybe do some non PMO stuff and pray the stars align come game time. It’s going to be a tough stretch
Your personal network, undergrad/b school friends. Real connections cut it, not the LinkedIn kinds

5) Start learning to answer more questions than you ask, and asking the right ones to begin with.
