Just over a week since my final round cultural fit interview (where the EVP said I’d be a great fit) and the recruiter said the team needs more time for decisions (hiring multiple people)…is this a reject?

Had ~7 interviews and the last few all ended with them saying I’d be a great addition to the team.

Maybe a noob Q - When does it make sense to take a pay cut when changing companies? I'm a Producer/PM trying to decide if I should jump to a smaller, lesser-known company (COLOR) for more money but fewer benefits than my current job, or with TeamOne for a slight pay cut but more benefits than my current job or COLOR. In reading through forums, the pattern seems to be getting pay raises in jumping between companies >.< What do you consider?

Currently going through the hiring process for a role in San Francisco. They told me the starting base was $110K, but this sounds like pennies in a city like San Francisco! Hi lovely fishes! Need your advice on how much house to buy? First time home buyers so nervous. Both of us are 34, married no kids yet. Make combined $550k and live in a no income tax state. We have $350k in retirement accounts. Maxing out 401k, Roths, a vanguard brokerage account plus $50k emergency cash. Student loan $150k. Everything we like is priced $1 to $1.3m. I started a job with a tutoring company. I had to go in for training at 2pm one day. They never told me how long I would work until I got there. Turns out I had to work until 7:30. 5 and a half hours of training. My previous experience with the same company (diff franchise) only required 1 hour of training. Anyways at the end of my shift, they said I don’t get paid for that day. They didn’t guarantee pay the next day, either. I left and said it was illegal. Was I right?
