If you like driving across country, recommend looking at and Audi or VW diesel. Slightly older cars and interface but technology is sound and has fun torque.

What you need is a Lexus IS350 AWD or Genesis G70 to put the miles on.

Price on the BMW?
The BMW 3 series is priced around $23K
I had a 2014 A3, or whatever the first year they came out with it as the sedan. Super fun to drive around but I had reliability issues with it. No idea if they’ve gotten better. It’s definitely a smaller car so it may not be the roomiest for you and a passenger going to cross country with luggage.
Edit: fixed the year
I love small cars they pack a punch and that is the reason for leaning towards the A3. I usually drive with my SO and we have done this on numerous occasions with similar sized rentals so I am hoping size wont be an issue.
Also, I am in the US only for another couple of years and hence would ideally want something which shouldn’t be a pain to resell
The A3 is a really small car. If you live in the city, then good, but not the best for hauling luggage. The 330i with 39k miles would be towards the end of warranty, so if you do go with that, then see if you can get a good deal on the extended warranty, as that is a must. The Jetta is the most reliable, but then again, it’s not fair to compare it with the other 2 as it’s a level below both of them in terms of brand value if that matters at all to you and most importantly engine and driving dynamics.
