Keep the heat on?

like

For a month??

This is a real thing, my pipes burst once from getting frozen and there was a major flood. You can keep it low but keep it on.

like

I assume you pay for your own heat? But yeah leave it on. We dropped it to 55° last winter when we left for 3 weeks. You definitely don’t want your pipes to burst.

like

If your pipes burst, that may also damage your neighbors’ apartments and belongings too. Don’t be that person.

like

Do you have a neighbor or house sitter you trust to come in and turn it on for a bit and turn it off each day?

like

Wow only 3 days. So sorry that happened to you. Good to know- i’ll just keep it on then.

like

I mean you can change the time setting so that it’s only on for short periods like a half hour in the morning or evening, it’s not hard

like

My building is a bit old. The lowest my radiator does is 65 and there is no timer. But anyways it's still better than getting my apt flooded.

Just lower it to like 60

I thought landlord is required to provide heat by law in nyc?

They are required to provide but you are required to pay for it

like

Wait I’ve never heard this omg. What if I haven’t turned my radiator on this season at all? Could it still burst if I left it off until spring?

Newbie here! Looking for a CANADIAN credit card recommendation. Work provides Amex green for hotels and meals - flights and Ubers are paid directly by McK. I have a personal Brim MasterCard for the 0 exchange fees and a CIBC Aventura which offers minimal points. My main expenses are food and transportation, I rarely spend more than $1k per month, and I would ideally like a lower annual fee because I don't think I'll spend enough to recoup the cost of a higher fee. I'm signed up for Aeroplan.

JFK, MCO or ATL to wait a couple of hours before an international flight?
I have these 3 options, all around the same price and time between flights look similar too.

Has anyone had luck with increasing sperm count? My husband’s SA test results aren’t ideal (good morphology and motility but 10 million sperm count). He’s not overweight, not a smoker, drinks only occasionally (way less in quarantine, maybe once a month, and cut coffee down to two cups a day. He’s on proxeed now and vitamins recommended by our fertility doctor, but the doctor has been heavily recommending IUI or IVF and I’m not sure if we’re wasting our time trying to improve his count. Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

Hi all,
I have been working in Accenture from last 7 months as an iOS developer. I am not satisfied with the project work and the overall project culture. I have one offer from TCS with 13.5 whereas currently company ctc is 9.68. While negotiating HR was more concerned about my short time working with well known company Accenture, that's why they are not offering more than 13.5 as HR said. My question is does it really impact how many years you have worked?
Ps: my total experience is 4.7 years
