Hey peeps - trying to assess my career prospects after a moment of doubt - what sorts of post-mba career areas would be a good fit for someone with my background?

-CS undergrad and Current MBA student at t15
-3 YOE at B4 with exposure to implementation/architecture/and product mgmt

Want to utilize my tech skills but explore other business areas…besides PM what other types of opportunites would be a good fit? (And Googling has not been as helpful here)..any advice is much appreciated!!

If you want to do actual tech work come to Accenture and do implementations, or go in-house at BigTech and join a product team as a SWE. Unclear why you need an MBA if you say you want to focus more on tech.

Your skill set might be a good fit for MBB tech teams as well

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

I used to do staffing. Involved cold calling And spamming clients and emails. People treated recruiters as middlemen, a noise and felt disrespectful.

But it’s not easy profession - to specialize and win in a niche.

I know it could be automated and give an experience to candidates and clients by making it ondemand, instant and specialization. I saw a Vision to turn this recruiting business into ondemand staffing companies like Airbnb - just publish talent and do the transaction.
