Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. It’s not changing in the last several years and it’s impacting our relationship. Anyone have experience with their SO dealing with untreated anxiety? Why are companies not more transparent about salaries? It should be required to list the salary range in a posting. I’m tired of applying to jobs only to find out the salary is way less than I’m willing to accept. This needs to change. Stop wasting applicants time and start including the salary range in job postings!!! Rant over.

KPMG partners, could you tell me what the implications are for taking 4 months maternity leave as a partner? I should be up for partner promotion next year and might be having a child as a partner. I'm guessing if you meet your targets, it doesn't really matter how much maternity leave you take as a partner but wanted to hear your thoughts on how parental leave (especially 4 months) affected your compensation, client relationships, teams, etc.

Currently being offered income partner at KPMG or director at Deloitte. I prefer Deloitte but they won’t budge to partner at this point. What would you do partners? Any advice?

PwC partners - One of my biggest takeaways is that Directors aren’t taken care of appropriately in the firm. That includes lack of focus on their mental health, their work-life balance, unreasonable metrics, comp and bonus increases, how cohort progression is managed and transparency about the PCLDE process. This is based on my 4+ yrs as a D and talking to several folks at or outside CLEX. Several of us leave due to this - just sharing this feedback to consider.
