Hey PwC fish, can someone please explain how the corporate card works? Can you still get solid rewards/points for travel? Unfortunate they don’t let you use your personal card so curious what the incentives are. Thanks!

You can collect the points personally if you sign up for Rewards and pay the fee yourself. I think you can also connect a personal AMEX and contribute to the same rewards pot.

$55 annually. I think I spent about $100K each year on corp card between 2013-2019. It was super worth it. Slowly starting to travel again, love those points.

Unless you travel a lot it’s not worth it to pay for the points. You need to to do the math and figure out the break even. I did when I was charging $30 grand a year.

What’s the annual fee?

$55, charge just came through on May 1st

When traveling, it’s an absolute no brainer. Without very consistent travel, not worth it. What’s the break even point? Break out those excel skillz and create that optimizer! This was a right of passage for any consultant “back in the day”

Break even will $5500 a year. Point is 1% of expenses. If you have other Amex the it is even better, you can club the points together.

Curious for some advice…

I currently have a Cap One Venture card. I have had it for a couple of years now but I am interested in upgrading to a Venture X card.

No promotion has been offered to me to upgrade my existing Venture card to a Venture X card.

Should I wait until that promotion is offered to me? Or would it be dumb to apply for a Venture X card separately and a) hold both cards or b) close out the original Venture card.

Does anyone have experience leaving their firm and using the pension benefit to negotiate with the new company? Hello Fishes, I’m trying to validate the Business model through market survey. The business is a kind of agri investment model where one can get an ROI of above 8% annually. Please share your thought process on form generations, target audience, Channels like Linked In , paid promotion etc.,

I rarely ever use the mark feature because the map is already lit up with way points for every little thing. Take genshin impact. It will lead you to your next quest objectives but any secrets or collectibles don't have a way point. You can even see on 3rd party maps how obnoxious it would be if they all did.

Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me what you make as a typical banquet/events manager for salary or per hour? I’ve worked for Marriott/Bonvoy at the Ritz and for the Curio Collection with Hilton as a bartender/server/banquets captain. Now I’m working for a privately owned hotel and as a manager role in Banquets/Events. Because of pandemic times, what is everyone else making?

I’m having my performance review tomorrow. Looked at my goals last year which was set before the pandemic really hit. Since it really affected business and travel I didn’t hit most of my goals. Plus I was really depressed (who wasn’t really) so I didn’t take much initiative. What’s a good way to navigate this...?
