I found this tutorial and it’s been super helpful but I’m having a hard time with some of the different types because the blade keeps shredding my card stock with some of the designs!!! https://jennifermaker.com/cricut-paper-flowers/ here’s what I have so far:

I'm guessing that a lot of your students will have reading disabilities and whether or not they have an official diagnosis ..dyslexia. I use Nessy which is a computerized program based on Orton Gillingham. The cost depends on the number of students .. but the most expensive is 99 dollars for the year. The last 2 years my district has paid for it for the students but this year we have district wide Lexia. I plan on purchasing one license for the videos and worksheet/paper games. But you can also search Nessy apps which can be used without a subscription... You just can't collect data that way.
How long are your students in the resource room? I've found that it is very difficult to do station because I only have the students for 30 minutes at a time. I work with k-6.
Most of my students will be in my room all day with the exception of lunch, recess, Music, & pe
I usually create cartoon characters to implement reading and math centers. Something they can relate to and make sure its colorful.
TWO WORDS: Kaboom sticks. Best thing ever, it can be for sight words, addition, vocabulary, etc. All it takes is a long cylindrical container and blank popcycle sticks. I put 6 kaboom stick in each set. I then write what I want the kids to practice. So between 20 and 40 sticks depending on the subject. If it is 0 thru 5 multiplication I write the problem on the sticks. Put them in the container and I am ready to go.
For the game:
Students sit in a circle, first student draws a stick and has to answer correctly. If they do not, the stick goes back in the container, and on to the next person. If they answer correctly they keep the stick, and it moves on to the next person. Now, if a student picks a Kaboom stick that student loses all their sticks and they go back into the container. And the game continues. It is fun and my kids love it. YouTube can probably explain it way better then me. Good luck.
Awesome idea!
