Any one works in a one man / one woman tax department? How do you effectively manage the relationships with outside tax providers, and with accounting/finance department inside of the company? I have multiple weekly calls with different teams from our CPA firm, with accounting/finance team inside, I tend to address issues as they arise. I was told I have been managing well, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Anyone feel as if it’s hard to stay with a company when you’re the only one of color? (&young) I’ve work for 3 companies in past 5 years and have yet to make meaningful colleague relationships. Things I wish attorneys not of color would realize- when you email over attorneys of color, it just makes the climb harder. I am working with a few seniors who communicate one thing, but when I send out required emails, reply all and communicate another.
