First of all, you are not alone even though everyone else may seem to be “ahead” of you. We all have our own timelines and the ultimate goal is to be happy. I’m 33 and I also struggle with similar thoughts that you have despite my being in a long-term relationship due to other factors.
I ultimately decided to go ahead with starting the egg freezing process around November. It was not an easy process for me and it definitely took a lot of courage since I experience a lot of pain down there with ultrasounds and paps. On the plus side, the actual process of daily injectable medications up until retrieval did not take very long and I’m really glad I did it. I have pcos so I was able to get a lot of eggs in one cycle. It may take more for people with a lower follicle count.
I don’t know if I will ever have children naturally and if I will ever use the eggs that I froze, but it was very empowering for me to know that I did all that I could to give myself the opportunity to have children if I decided to have them later on in life.
I hope this was helpful for you to hear in some way. You’ve got this!
As a first step, if you’re seriously considering egg freezing, I would recommend going in for an initial consult to see your follicle count and get your qs answered.

Freeze them. I was 31 when we decided to have kids and learned I had diminished ovarian reserve. 3 years later, 2 iuis, 1 failed ivf cycle, and one miscarriage later, we have made it past 10 weeks. If I could change anything I would have tested early and frozen my eggs in my 20s. The extraction process isn't pleasant and you will have some discomfort after but it is 100% worth preserving your options. Godspeed!
Egg freezing and IVF are basically the same thing without fertilizing the egg. So if you think you will have less hormones or an easier time with egg freezing, that’s not the case. IVF is basically doing the same protocol as egg freezing but after eggs are retrieved they are fertilized with sperm and embryos grow, I talked to my doctor extensively about this and frozen eggs are not as good as embryos at being viable for pregnancy. So for myself, I chose donor sperm and to do IVF with that. Some of my friends did egg freezing and hope they can use them with future partners if they have them or with donor spent at that time. Honestly 32 is young and you probably have time. Get fertility testing and see. I’m 36 and apparently still fine for fertility. And at the end of the day, do what feels right for you. Want to have a kid, go for it and you’ll figure it out. Want to freeze your eggs as a backup, go for it and have fun dating.
Yeah my doctor said the same but I’m not looking to be a single mom so I don’t wanna use a sperm donor
As someone who has been 32 single considering egg freezing myself and currently 36 married and undergoing ivf I have lived both scenarios. I would recommend checking follicle count and amh values first. The first part of ivf is egg extraction, which calls for taking lot of hormonal and other medications. These medications have a long term impact on your health. Unless it is absolutely necessary I would not recommend anyone to undergo this.
If your reproductive health is on the better side of healthy scale, I wouldn't recommend going for egg freezing.
But, if there are any additional issues that can crop up then yes, egg freezing could be good idea.

I had 65% chance of falling pregnant with my first FET considering my age and health. But it wasn't successful. We never know which side of statistics we fall in, until it has already happened.
Hi! You’re not alone in how you feel. After being newly single after a long term relationship, I definitely wish I had frozen my eggs sooner. I’m a bit older than you. You’re not behind. 32 is still young and a great time to do this. I saw an RE when I was 32 and he told me that the average patient age he gets for egg freezing is 37/38.
Navigating the process and finding the right clinic can be challenging but I’ve noticed that people are very kind and open to sharing their experiences on forums and support groups. You can try posting on Reddit or Facebook groups for clinic recommendations
I haven’t looked into kind body much but I’ve heard mixed reviews, people seem to either love it or hate it. If you’re in the NY area, some highly rated clinics are Cornell, Columbia, Shady Grove, NYU, RMA, and CCRM. I think Columbia and Shady Grove are probably the most cost effective clinics for elective egg freezing (self pay). Spring seems to also have good reviews but they don’t take insurance. They are a Bay Area based clinic that opened a location in NY last year. Feel free for DM me for more info if you’re interested in any of those
I already have a clinic. I specifically asked about Reddit since I’m not a FB user
I recommend RMA. They are very patient centric and have a lot of good reviews. I heard spring fertility is good too. Not sure abt kindbody.
Both spring and kindbody were recommended by my gyn
My experience was amazing! I felt freed & empowered. Knowing that I’m not restricted to a timeline takes a lot of stress off of my shoulders.
Totally unbiased, I have worked for a few large Fertility company’s. Kindbody is my current employer. I cannot recommended them enough to family, friends, past colleagues. We are patient focused through & through. You will never be treated as a number. Happy to talk in length if you need anything! Also depending which location you are closest to can recommend the best doctor for you.
Do it!! Best thing I have ever done. I absolutely love what I do. Always available to answer any questions :)
I’m doing it in may I’m 31
I’m going to brown fertility for mine

My non-affiliated gyn says that KindBody is awesome
I am 43. Have done 3 rounds of IVF. You are smart to think about this. Consider freezing embryos too, not just eggs.
It's uncomfortable (bloating), but not painful. Worth it.
