You might like Lincoln Park, it should fit all the things you’re looking for
Rising Star
I’m in Lakeview East which is next to the lake with trails and parks so great for the dog. A bit cheaper than Lincoln park and less preppy. Also right next to boystown so a nice friendly lgbtq+ vibe but not over the top. I really love it here.
Second it. Lived in LincolnPark and Lakeview. LP is vibrant and fit for young people, but pricey and has many old buildings. Whereas Lakeview is little cheaper while still being a great neighborhood
Don't move to a declining city. Been here 10 years and it is going thd way of Detroit.
I think so too. That’s why a CHOSE it out of a lot cities. Thanks for the reassurance 🥲
Wicker park is super dog friendly and lgbtq+ doesn’t dominate but def has a presence
Andersonville.
Keep in mind, lots of places have breed restrictions for dogs

Lakeview East is a big contender. It keeps popping up in all my chats.
West loop /south loop are both pretty good too if you're looking for something not north side. South loop is great because I live here and the lakefront trail is so close, 5 minutes you're running / biking on it!
Also idk where PwC office is, if it's the one on Upper Wacker (north/south direction) then it'll be a nice walk to the office over the bridges / river if you live in west loop.
My only tip for avoiding is DO NOT LIVE IN THE LOOP :) everything closes at 8
I used to goto office before covid. LincolnPark, WickerPark, Lakeview, Belmont and Logan square are all nice residential neighborhoods. If you want to be closer to the lake then choose LP, Lakeview. You can find a decent 1BHK in high rise building with Great Lake view..
While loop is a great neighborhood and closer to our office, that gets closed after 8PM, and I don’t know if that’s what you want...0
Yeah - the Loop is the business district. Areas to the South [South Loop], West [West Loop], and North [River North] are great residential areas.
I suggest looking at K2 in Fulton market. They are offering free months on rent. Can give you more info if interested. I also suggest a realtor to work on your behalf. They are free and help out a lot
Lakeview East would be a good fit
I’ve a few thoughts, but my recommendation would be lakeview or Lakeview east. It’s great for the dog, in your budget, and def lgbt+ friendly.
Others have mentioned or that you might hear:
1. Lincoln Park. Probably the next best for you but Lincoln parks buildings are a bit older.
2. South loop: Since you have a dog, south loop is honestly not great. It’s a concrete jungle with the exception of if you live on Michigan Ave and and can hop right over to grant park. Also, south loop is lgbtq+ friendly, but in the same way that anywhere is lgbtq+ friendly in 2021.
3. Andersonville: just way too far north IMO. It’s nice to visit and go out there though
quick build - if you want to run, I would go either Lakeview East or Lincoln Park [or South Loop] - much better running options than say West Loop.
Concrete Jungles aren’t horrible for dogs [and males are easier than females in the city too]. They figure it out.
Definitely lake view east. I don’t think there’s a better fit in the city than here based on what you’re looking for.
I'd check out Lakeview East.
Hey I’m an incoming PwC base in Chicago! I’m living in the New East side (harbor dr). The neighborhood is safe and has a dog park. Rent rn here is pretty nice. Happy to connect and be friend!
