Folks who know/managed to generate a large capital (in Millions), what are some of the reliable and capable sources/people/websites to target? Healthcare industry if that matters. Thanks!
I’ve been a CD for a few years now. And I’m starting to worry about getting stuck here. How do you move up to GCD or ECD levels? Is it usually an internal promotion or external opportunity?
Hey Deloitte dudes/dudettes! Congrats to the promotees. Soooooo for everyone who didnt receive a promotion, what will you do? How soon will you be gone? Whats on your mind? 👀
I am completing Noogler period this month. I joined in January with 3-4 years of experience and Google offered me L3 Level and despite having other offers in hand, Google didn’t negotiate. And since Google was my dream company, I joined Google thinking I’ll ask for promotion in one year and do the hardwork. Till now I wasn’t having any problem. But now it starts mentally for me. So, I referred one of my friend from my same batch of college and previous organisation. contd. in comments!
Hello Fishes, I recently applied for a position at EY GDS Bangalore, Senior for project indigo. Wanted to get some insights on the role and how are the appraisal, growth and WLB at EY Current YOE-4 Thanks
I don’t suppose anyone has any opinions of health agencies in London? Quick scan through this bowl suggest not, but the health bowl is basically all NY.
New to Deloitte, How is the promotion path defined to go from Solution Specialist(SS) to senior SS? Eg. how many years in SS should we work before asking/making our promotion case for SSS
Has anyone here (especially BCGers) taken a leave of absence in the past? Have you described it in the application as an employment break? If not, how’ve you explained your promotion isn’t on time?
How do you have the "I deserve a raise" conversation? Especially when you asked for a certain amount upon signing, and that amount was not initially met but was to be reviewed after the 1st Yr.?
3 months into a 6 month internal project. I proactively scheduled a feedback session with the “big boss”/key stakeholder tomorrow (I have weekly check-ins with my day to day lead weekly), and I am terrified. They are highly critical and can come off as abrasive, and any ad-hoc feedback I receive makes me feel like I’m never good enough. I’m expecting to have darts thrown at me and want to curl up in a ball and cry after... any advice? Just didn’t want to be blindsided at the end of the project.
In the final round of interview with a San Fran startup that’s about to go IPO... but I know I’d be also giving up lots of the structures & project flexibility & diversity offered here at big 4. What rationale would you use to make a decision?
I am new to managing people. What books, articles, etc., would you recommend on the topic? Trying to be a non-shitty manager!
My mantra for today is Grateful. Grateful to have a job, grateful for family, grateful for health.
Can Monitor Deloitte 🐠 comment on the status/health of Strategy & Analytics? Hearing a lot of mixed reviews and trying to make an informed decision.
A huge project of mine died a year back, and I just saw the exact idea on adweek. My coworker who was on the project took it to a new agency and made the identical spot. Is there anything I can do? Is this just part of the industry? I’m fucking livid
If my director said I would be rated a 1 as a 2nd year, does that mean I should expect a promotion to senior come May? Not sure if you can be rated a 1 and not promoted.
Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of trouble and I wanted to know if I can get some guidance. I have been on the same project for four years now and I’m doing great job. I’ve gone up in the ranks and now I am the clients right hand person. However in talking with my people manager, he wants to discuss where I plan on going in my career. And honestly, I haven’t really thought about it. I have always been raised to just do my job and go home. And honestly I’m fine with that. But when it comes to 1/2
Honest question here-hw do I work better with Indians who come over frm India(on-site) to client? My patience with them is at an all time low since they jst dnt gt the methodology & hate owning anythng
Fairly confident I’ll get an in industry offer this week! Mixed feelings though... Main reason for leaving is WFH consulting just simply isn’t enjoyable. Getting harder for me to see the value in grinding for consulting. Is this short term thinking off? Do people think weathering this storm will give potential raises / promotions soon? I just don’t see consulting going back to what it use to be for ~2 years. I’m a consultant level going for promotion to manager.
Who’s hiring senior art directors?
Will Deloitte allow me to work from India for sometime (3-4 weeks) ? Planning to visit India for visa stamping. PS: 80 percent team on my project is from USI and there will be no client confidentiality issues.
Best exit opps out of MBA programs? Why is everyone so obsessed with MBB or PE? What are some other high paying opps with better WLB that are fun as well?
Looking for an AWS tutor to help me prep for the Solutions Arch. cert. Linux academy and Acloud are good but I have a ton of unanswered questions and knowledge gaps. Where should I look for help? TIA!
Does anyone know the compensation for KPMG’s Associate, Deal Advisory and Strategy position?
Has anyone exited into a CVS Health Lead Analytics role or interviewed for a CVS analytics position? Trying to figure out if it is the right fit for me and would appreciate any insight on work, salary, and satisfaction.
One friend announces an engagement, another announces a baby, and I'm sitting here on a Friday night baking cookies and coloring. Making thirty look shitty.
I worked at PwC and just got laid off for seemingly no reason. Does anyone have any leads for data analytics/data strategy/data engineering type roles? I’m happy so share my performance feedback as well. It’s pretty solid.
Need advice 🐟 fam- I'm in an extended PMO role that doesn't require any brains. I have great work life balance but a lot of free time. Advice on how should I develop professionally? Certifications?
Anyone who made PPMD on the H1B visa willing to share their experience? Any immigration related issues?
I’ve been struggling with the future of my career lately. I’ve been a business analyst in fed software dev projects for 5 years now. The natural progression would be to become a PM in a similar project. I’ve fortunately been given many opportunities to try out some “lead” roles at my current firm. I’ve tried it...and I just don’t like it. Doesn’t fit my personality or give me any satisfaction. I like working more on the “ground” and learning from developers. But I know I could be making cont.
If I took a part time MBA program, can I still campus recruit for a summer role at MBB, Big 4, FAANG, etc?
I have so much mom guilt sending my baby to daycare. She’s 6 months old. The transition has been harder on me than her (she seems fine and happy, just isn’t sleeping well there yet) but I wonder if I should try and find a different solution. Part time nanny, part time daycare? We can’t afford a nanny full time. If I’m WFH and we have a nanny part time is it realistic that I’d see her during the day or am I kidding myself?
Looking for internal consulting roles within the industry - anyone care to provide a referral? PhD with >5 EOY in consulting.
Is the interview process to get into IBD harder or easier than top consulting firms like BCG/McKinsey/Bain? Where do the truly smart people work nowadays?
Might be a paranoid mom question - my 16 month old is starting daycare next week. So far, I’ve had virtual interviews/meet and greet sessions with the daycare staff. Today we went in for our in-person orientation and I noticed that my child is the only non-white kid in his class of 8. Not entirely shocking, but in my head (and having seen pictures in their catalog) I was hoping there would be a little more diversity. Should I be worried about my kid feeling left out because he looks different?
3 nights away from Marriott platinum. Does it reset at the end of the calendar EOY? If so, worth paying out of pocket for those 3 nights?
About to take an offer at EY. Want a baby soon and saw the great news about increased parental leave. Question is, can u use vacation time consecutively with it? Right now most on leave take 5 months
