Hi all - amateur investor here who somehow started getting in the market right as things took off. I didn’t pay rent this year due coming back home after COVID so had a lot of extra $ to invest. Currently maxing my 401k, Roth IRA, and ESPP. Not maxing HSA but contributing $3k, so close.
After this, I have a $500 monthly auto investment into a vanguard fund & have been intermittently buying stocks on Robinhood.
What else should I do with any extra cash I have?

I would max out HSA and invest the funds in the HSA

^ this approach worked REALLY well for me this year, with the market the way it was. However, I really don’t read up on investments/check my stocks daily or even know much about investment strategies. Honestly have just been seeing people talk about certain stocks and bought them on a whim - which probably isn’t the way to go long term. Should I just stick with ETFs from now on to be safe? 26 years old btw

I know the answer to 1st is yes, but what about 2nd one?

We’re at the end of refinancing and my loan officer wants a letter indicating what my federal student loan payments will be after the forbearance is over. My last recalculation happened in 2019, so I gave him that letter but he says it’s too old. The loan verification letter from Fedloan reflects just $0 payments and $0 due, in forbearance until September. Has anyone else run into this and if so, how did you get around it? I could write a letter explaining but not sure what else to do. TIA

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I would appreciate any input!!!!

I recently changed jobs and my new 401K provider - Principal has very limited MF investment options. My prior employer’s 401K was managed by Fidelity and provided me access to a range of MF options. I believe that the fund options are negotiated by the employer and provider? Two questions. First - I have not rolled over my previous 401K to the new one. Would there be any problems. Second - is there a way I could move my current 401K to another (precious) provider?

I’ve had a “fun money” Fidelity invt acct for years and have finally come to the realization that it’s a total waste as I never keep a close enough eye on the individual stocks I buy to exit timely and actually make $$. The downturn has brought it into clearer focus. I have about $8k in cash in it. Any recos for a good mutual fund / ETF to put it in? Could go with a standard S&P index, but curious any ideas. For the rest, ($30k) I’m going to strategically exit stocks and move the $ over. TIA
