I'm doing everything in my power to not quit without another job lined up, and every interview falls through. I'm overwhelmed by my clients, I've had enough corporate koolaid for a lifetime, I could not care less about what I do, and I've started exhibiting destructive behaviors at work but keep getting told I'm doing great.

How do you get out of the burnout cycle? I’ve felt overwhelmed for a while and now I’m in the “can’t function at all” stage. I have been an HR assistant for 2 years in the public sector 80% staffing 20% recruiting, I want to break out into the private sector and have 5+ interviews but never seen grab there attention. Recruiters have told me that I interview well, Any Advice?? I have also gotten a Hr management Cert and working on my PHR.

I had my PHR back in early 2000, then made a career change to a paramedic (I know, right). I called SHRM and they said I'm eligible to test again even though I only currently have 1.5 yrs of HR.

I purchased the online study guide and it seems that HR has gone in a completely different direction - more operations related than employee relations etc.

Did anyone find this online training to be helpful? I test in July, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

There’s no such thing as a perfect job.

I know there are definitely worse out there so it’s hard to put my foot down and resign, I could just stick it out for a year but am feeling demotivated and too exhausted to do anything else but sleep after hours/weekends. Without looking, I was recently offered a role at another company for about 30% more salary and 10x the amount of stock options, but I have only been at my current employer for less than a year and feel really guilty about leaving so soon into my tenure. My current employer might match salary, but there's no chance the options get matched.

I'm wondering if I should take the new position, even after less than a year at my company? I can't shake my guilt even though it seems like a no-brainer.

Boss has WFH for 9months. I have been WFH for 2-weeks for travel quarantine/state guidelines. She now requires that I go back to the office to “show face” that HR is right alongside the essential employees. I have been more productive from home vs the office. I get the perspective of team unity, but is it wrong to feel there is no reason to risk my health? The company justifies increasing my covid risk (high-risk already) to “show face”, when my job is being fulfilled while WFH. Am I crazy?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
