In a 50% marginal tax bracket. Feeling demotivated to chase any future raises. Government is going to take half anyways. Effort reward just isn't there anymore.

I'm a Sr & my cw is mid level, I have 2 more yrs of experience. We've been partners for 2 yrs and we're interviewing at an agency that doesn't have Jr,mid,Sr & are really precious about acd title, likening them to CDs. At other places we've talked to we'd get respective promotions and raises but this agency wants to bring us in as a senior team. We don't have the same salary now and I'd feel a bit stiffed if they offer us the same salary. Am I an asshole for feeling this way? Wwyd?

BCG: I'm seeing "up to" X% bonus on the offer letter. Could someone elaborate on what the bonus distribution is like / would a first-year associate realistically hit the upper limit on bonus %?
Anybody heard or worked in centelon ? How's the experience in sales force practice there ? What's salary range a 3.5 exp2 sfdc person can expect ?

I recently received a “salary adjustment”, as I was on the lower end of the pay scale for my role. However, I just found out that the company raised its baseline salary, and i’m still below it even with the adjustment. I realize it is far-fetched to think they will bring me to the baseline upon request, but i’d still like to fight for my worth and bring it up. I have a folder full of receipts (positive feedback from account leads, clients, upper management, etc.) Any tips for how to approach?

Lowest ranked b school you'd attend? There's a real opportunity cost to b school as someone who's in consulting out of undergrad. My thought is Wharton.
Feeling super discouraged. I’m pretty average IQ wise, but I’ve always been able to get ahead by working harder/longer than others. (e.g. I raised my ACT score for 29 to 35 by taking 30+ practice tests, and got into MBB on my second try by doing 50+ mock interviews.) But now that I’m at MBB I feel like working hard isn’t enough. I feel like to succeed here you have to be lightning fast at picking stuff up and executing tasks, and that’s just not me.
New to consulting.. what does it mean exactly for a project to have “politics” involved?
New senior flies in a day late, busts into the room with no apologies, and tells me (the only minority & female in the room) that I should get the coffee before the manager comes. I'm the manager. 😏
S& folks, how is the wlb and hours/week? Thinking about accepting an offer but worried about hours because I'm going to get married just before I start. Any tips on how to make it better with SO? Would love to hear from folks across all firms(mbb/t2/b4) on steps they took to make it better in similar situations. Srategy&
