Why do you need an MBA to do this? Your management consulting experience is and should be enough to get you there. Not trying to be a hard ass, just be ready to answer that question because people may ask you later-
Don’t waste money on MBA if you’re goal is TS at Big 4
Depends on what it is within Transaction advisory... this could certainly make sense to pivot into a Deals Advisory or Deals Strategy/CDD role. But coming from management consulting? Agree that moving into a FDD or Valuation group wouldn’t make sense
If Transaction advisory is your goal, get your CPA and you should be good to recruit.
I think rather than FDD the OP meant transaction advisory like Big 4 M&A consulting, DDV, or Corporate Finance
