Hi all,

Do you all rely on office's medical insurance for parents (60+) or would you suggest to take a private one? I have heard most private insurance companies are lousy when responding to claims and might reject claims citing some weird/previously unhighlighted reasons.

Any suggestions will be helpful

It's depent case to case and advisor to advisor....
Go with insurance advisor who has long experience in this field.
Don't buy any policy from anyone,
Ask questions about claim settlement process and his responsibility when ever claim accured.

If your parents are above 60 the only health insurance option you have is through employer. Hardly any heath insurance company provides it and if they provide they charge like anything

always a separate one because to cover buffer and you may not continue in a company for life

Thanks for responding. Do you have any suggestions on insurers?

get a family floaters

Don't buy from insurance company which sell cheap plans be it private or govt as both are going to take a toll on you when it comes to claiming it. So opt for a decent company after viewing the benefits they are offering.

Connect with me if you want to shortlist few plans as per your requirement.

Hi I am a female USDC SS level employee and would be on bench starting from mid September. I have received a generic email from RM stating that work from home is not allowed when on bench and have to come to office from 9am to 5pm. I am a mother of 11 months old and my family already had Covid few months back. Since my kid is very small i am not comfortable sending him to day care. Can anyone suggest how to get approval for work from home during my bench time. I am very much tensed

I have COVID for the first time rn, but I'm currently in MBB case interview mode, so I want to give my body time to sleep so I can rest and do well, but even with sleep aids, my mind is wide awake and wants to convert random improper fractions to decimals in my head, market sizing drills, and more 🤕

I'm cutting back to my usual dose of D3 because I think the higher COVID dose is disrupting my sleep, but how else do you recommend shut down your mind when your ADHD mind won't turn off work.

Healthcare corporations… please note you have more then 1 shift of workers. You have 3 most times, each shift has to be treated equally. This is and always have been an issue, and you cannot figure out why the other shifts refuse to be active and participate in anything and definitely not engaged anymore.

I have offers from both United Health Group and Atlassian for a Senior Financial Analyst position. Similar Comp (Atlassian slightly higher due to stock options). Coming from another healthcare company as a SFA, does anyone have experience at either company? In the long term, does Atlassian look better on a resume/work experience due to the Tech/Software space? Seems like their culture is great, but a much higher work load due to the nature of the company. Thanks! Happy to answer DM's too

Hi! I currently work at a small but mighty PR firm making $60K (or $65K with no benefits) and I wonder if I'm being underpaid. I have 5 YOE.

I currently am the sole person responsible for driving PR efforts for all of our clients (we're only a team of 4). I keep thinking that with 5 years of experience, I should be making in the $72-$80K range (based in ATL). What's considered fair?

To add context, I'd be equivalent to an SAE at a larger firm.
