Hi all. First year IB analyst here who is unsure of the next steps in my career. I eventually want to work my way to the food & bev industry and it seems like many of the post banking roles in the industry are at PE shops. I don’t know if PE is something I want to pursue. I have been working for a Jaipur based Digital Marketing Agency for 2.5 years now. Overall I have 5 YoE in the industry.

I tired to switch the company for Growth & Learning, Got 60k + WFH offer. My current company matched the offer (60k + WFH). The company helped me a lot in my bad times (Covid, Mom's illness, my operation etc).

Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

There’s a salary posting in Wall Street Oasis that says in 2018, an MD at Warburg Pincus earned 500k base and 1.5M bonus for 2M TC, $. Does that seem accurate to you?
