Hi All,

Has anyone ever had to do the second step of an interview over slack? It was a legitimate company not a scam. The person I would be working with said the second interview after an assignment was over slack. They asked me in the first interview about my writing skills. They said since it's a remote company most people I'd never speak with directly and everything would be asynchronous through slack. Is this typical?

Anyone have tips for proper slack etiquette or resources to share?

I'm in HR for a tech company but have been fully remote. We use MS Teams which is very similar to Slack.
Yes, with the explosion of remote work online collaboration tools such as Slack are very commonplace.
Some things to consider- expect to be on camera for the meeting so either set up somewhere with a clean, non-distracting background or use the blur background option. Also a headset with microphone is best to ensure good audio quality.
Good luck!

I was offered a position through a recruiter and the company is now doing a background check. I haven’t received a written offer letter or started any paperwork.

After receiving the offer I turned down a final interview with another company. I’ve also been invited to another interview with someone else.

I don’t feel comfortable continuously turning down interviews if I don’t have a written offer or started any paperwork. I want to email HR about the process but what should I say?

After that, they "ghosting" me! I called the HRBP one week later, but he replied that he'll call me ASAP. What should I do? May I call the HRD or should I wait?

Over the course of 6 weeks, I had several panel interviews and the next step was a final in-person interview. Each round I had great feedback and my correspondence with the company recruiter was consistent and friendly. Until now. After a week of radio silence since my last interview, I sent a gentle polite follow up that has gone unanswered for almost a week. I saw that the original JD was reposted on LinkedIn a few days before my last interview (ugh). Am I being ghosted? So confusing.
