Hi all. Hitting the job market after about 10 years climbing the ladder at IRI, a SaaS consumer packaged goods analytics company. I started in the Technology division, pivoted to operations in 2017, and have been focused on Product Technology Operations management since 2019. I'm finishing my MBA from a Big Ten program later this year, and looking to connect with a good executive headhunter, but don't know where to begin since I've been out of the job market for so long. Any recommendations?

I'm an in-house counsel at a national company. Our GC is leaving. I’m the only other in-house attorney, and I’ve only been here for 4 months. I like the job. Previously, I was a 6th-year associate.

Any in-house antitrust counsel willing to offer up some advice? I just started in a firm's well-regarded antitrust group. What do I do over the next few years to make myself most marketable to move in-house? And when is that move actually feasible/ideal for antitrust specialists?

Seems like I can pull work from the whole discipline (merger clearance, civil lit, criminal) — should I spread myself across all of it to maximize my skillset/marketability?

All thoughts and advice welcome. TYSM :)

Since then, I’ve had conversations with 7 others for this company of <50 and even used some PTO to visit their office. I’m a ‘great fit’ but just got rejected for a lack of experience; am I missing something?

Moreso sharing my story than an earnest ask, I feel compelled to share:

I got my job via a series of lucky coincidences. I am a former art student who winded up working for the print production dept of a major media company in what was supposed to be a weeklong gig, and then ended up as a data analyst in the same org.

When I think of what I would be passionate for, I think of a creative field, like fashion, even if I was a similar, administrative role. I’m not sure there’s room to grow here.
