Hi All - hoping you have some advice. I’m looking for new roles outside of my current company. I’m a Solution Architect Title, Solution Owner Role for a Salesforce team. I’m SO on large scale, complex projects. Love what I do, and how I get to be involved in the solutioning of our future state. Sadly I do not have dev experience so I can’t transition directly to a Solution Architect role on another Salesforce team. Where would my Functional/Specialist Salesforce skill sets be appreciated?

What do you all think is the upper limit range for someone in an account manager role at a tech firm? What’s the career path? Was there anything you’ve done in terms of upskilling that resulted in increased pay? Or should I just pick something else if I want to be making more than what I make atm ~150k TC with 6 years exp.

I spent a year in tax investigations where I believe I was thriving ( I was going to be an assistant manager in July 2023), I had a lot of assistant manager jobs, I even drafted a Code 9 report to HMRC which my manager said was 80% of an actual report, he then added the 20% and submitted it.
After I realised I couldn't maintain all the unpaid overtime I was working I decided to take a turn and go to compliance, so now I work in CT compliance. I feel very surpressed.

What’s your work-life balance like? I feel like I’m constantly working after hours, always balancing multiple projects, hardly ever going through a phase where there isn’t a ton of critical initiatives going on. Reviewing a salary offer for a Benefits Manager position in Greensboro, NC industry is retail. Offer made of $95k with 18% bonus. I have 16 YOE, degree in Business, and PHR and Shrm certification.
