Hi all. Hubs and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few years with no luck. Tried IUI, no success. I’m scared of IVF and the toll it takes on your body but we may be looking at that soon.
But I want to keep trying naturally for 6 more months.
I’m a relatively healthy-ish person but wondering what I can do diet-wise.
What healthy diets did you go on? What foods did you cut out/introduce? My naturopath told us both to reduce red meat and dairy.
I’m south Asian if that makes a difference.

Get your husband tested for sperm issues immediately, no sense in waiting. If that’s no good you will unfortunately be straight to IVF. It’s easy and cheap to test men though.

Please don’t beat yourself up about diet etc. as long as you’re not super overweight and unhealthy it shouldn’t dramatically impact anything. The whole diet and “natural” thing can’t overcome bad sperm or fibroids in the uterus.

Also if it’s been a few years you need to see a doctor. That’s a clear sign you’re beyond the help of diet or BS natural remedies

EY1, yes he’s been doing what he has been advised as well. He is taking vitamins, and all the other things you mentioned and he did see an improvement in his numbers when we tried IUI, but didn’t help.

You could focus on adding some fertility healthy supplements like CoQ-10, only diet that seems to be recommended for fertility is a Mediterranean diet. If you haven't already, I would highly recommend reading the book It Starts with the Egg, which outlines supplement plans and overall lifestyle suggestions to optimize your and your partners fertility. And depending on your age, I would get in for testing. If you end up going to IVF, its a much longer process than you could ever imagine and you'll regret it later if you waste precious time.

Agree with CoQ10 and a prenatal multivite.

Today has been a great day. Went on a short hike and set this up to tell my husband that we are pregnant. The journey has been tough but we're happy and hopeful for a good journey ahead ❤️ Hope this post spreads some positive vibes.

The setup had three origami tigers, a succulent, a globe, a picture of us, an announcement poster I made, a piece of rainbow cake and one Toblerone 😊

Moved to industry thinking it’d be easier and less stressful. Definitely easier but the stress now is coming from never knowing if I’m doing a good enough job because I’m not as busy as I used to be. I feel like I could get fired at any point. Also, there’s a huge emphasis here on meetings and socializing, whereas I’m more used to getting my stuff done and keeping the client happy. Can anyone relate? Is this what anxiety feels like?

I am having a missed miscarriage. Last night I felt something slide out of me which looks like a blood clot and/or tissue with something clear and round like (I think the embryo at 6 weeks). Ever since then my cramps have been getting worse and I feel like I’m having contractions today (sharp cramps coming and going every 15-20 minutes). Is this normal? Is more stuff trying to come out?

I'm new to eating healthy - what well-researched diets would you recommend for me?

My doctor told me I should try to gain some muscle weight after I unintentionally lost 9 lbs this year. I wouldn't mind learning to cook but I'd appreciate quick, easy, easy to clean meals for one, at least from the outset.

I don't have dietary restrictions, and my goal is training for high altitude mountaineering - which includes a mix of strength and endurance training.

(Info: M 24, 6'2, 166 lb, BMI 21.5)

I am new to FIRE concept but very much intrigued- to get freedom to follow my passion earlier. I am 48 and my SO is 49.
Currently assets - 1.1M in combination of 401k, Roth and trad. IRA. 120k in brokerage. We both currently max out our 401k and Roth every year and also invest 1k every month in brokerage.
30k in 529 for 1 kid - hopefully will not need much more. 4 mths expenses in cash.
I would love to retire in 7 yrs at 55. SO wants to work until 62.
So you think we have enough to retire?

Any women here with lean PCOS? I do not ovulate on my own (metformin regulated my periods but I still don’t ovulate) and am moving from three cycles of Clomid/IUI to IVF soon. No other issues have been found other than my PCOS (HSG shows tubes open). Curious about your experiences. And the reason I mentioned lean PCOS is because it seems for others with PCOS part of the fertility path is diet/exercise/weight loss but I am already very tiny.
