1. Job security no one can answer really. That being said thoughtworks has never had layoffs and is in general a great company that has policies/decisions that tend put employees first
2. Depends heavily on the project but realistically expect 8-10 hours. I've seen lead developers tend to put in more hours than consultants/senior cons because of the extra meetings they need to be a part of.
3. Very flexible. Currently it's remote first, even in the future I feel thoughtworks is going to be more accommodating than other companies.
I'm just a consultant so I can just answer from my pov - work is mostly light. Constant pairing gets hectic and there are days where you have to stretch but for the most part my days are a lot easier than most others I know (in other companies). I wouldn't describe the work as stressful though - no one 'blames' you or tries to throw you under the bus if something were to go wrong, rather there are civil, productive retros and feedback sessions to tackle the issues. But again it all depends on the project at the end of the day.
If you're coming from Product based companies though, be prepared for dealing with clients and all the other headaches that come with being a consultant. Some clients are an absolute pain to deal with and you need to find the balance between drawing boundaries and not soiling the relation
Thoughtworks doesnt have a history of layoffs. So, it seems safe from that point. Also, I have seen working mothers get full support from the team here. And regarding the quality of work, it matches with the best of product based companies out there.
What they offered?
TW is completely flexible about WFH, you get to decide when you want to come to office
Pro
If you don't tell the offered CTC, it's difficult to evaluate the job security. Another question is, if you are worried about job security, WLB and upcoming recession, why did you attended interview? No wise man will switch during this time if they are already at the right place with decent pay.
Don't demoralize
TW is good, for women it's best. There is no recession for right people with skills. Worrying is waste of imagination.
They have just terminated all women returnee interns and grads interns due to recession.
