Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

I would lean on more towards the MBB internal/strategy job. Even if the portfolio job comp is slightly better. Commercial portfolio management can get pretty mundane and repetitive. It also becomes harder to leave commercial banking the longer you stay. Strategy might have a harder learning curve with more hours and work but it could lead to better exit opps. When you’re getting a new job think about where it could lead you in ~2 or 5 years (same firm or different). Think about how many future doors will be opened with either A or B.
I appreciate the insight I think I am leaning A but have been going back and forth in my head for some time
Definitely job a
Job A for sure
Easily A, don't even need to hear about the comp/exact info for B.
Is the 130k comp inclusive of bonus? Or is that your base just curious.
If you’re in commercial banking / underwriting now I assume you could switch to a SFA/Senior FPA analyst job pretty easily.
Wow how are you finding 130k? I need to be working there 😂 I’m interviewing for multiple Senior FP&A positions and have experience but they all only have a range of 100k-110k.
Would be interested to hear too ^
Job A
Job A, no question, unless the comp at Job B is enough for you to coast happily for the rest of your life and that’s something you desire
