Hi All! I am a current client management analyst at one of the big banks (with 2 years of experience) looking to change career paths. I don’t enjoy what I do am I am an ambitious person, not sure if I should train myself to get into IB or PE for the learning curve and money or completely change paths to product and UX design since it’s a field I really like. I’m scared to risk it and would love some insight on what options I should get myself into.

Hi all, new to fishbowl. I am currently a PTA working in homecare. I am considering changing career paths to non-clinical. I live in Dayton, OH. I would love some insight or feedback. I also see Gpac recruiting popping up, is this a reputable co? Ty!

Hello fellow PMs - Any recommendations on how to get a client who is borderline obsessed with sending emails with ‘high priority’ red explanation point to stop this behavior? It’s counterproductive and had set the wrong expectation with my team on what the focus should be. I’ve managed expectations with my team, but still having a hard time getting the point across to the client.

first call with SF CSG Recruiter is scheduled for Senior Architect role. Appreciate insights from you all.
1. How is work life balance in CSG?
2. What is the typical billability target? Does one have to market oneself for billability or the Practice lead takes care of it?
3. Honestly- I have seen SF people pushing for products which are really not needed by clients. I can never do such a thing - so is there an expectation from the AE’s that Architects should do so?

Is Siemens looking into permanent WFH option?

I’m a first year and fucked up big time. The client doesn’t know about this but a senior associate was furious. I know it’s 100% my fault but no one above me actually reviewed my work bc everyone was so busy. But then I found out the senior gave a rant about how I fucked up to another colleague. When I apologized to him, he was really salty. Since then, my heart drops every time I see his email bc I’m too scared. He is usually pretty emotional and his instructions are vague, which doesn’t help.

Which is better from a long term career standpoint/exit/other opportunities - a corporate governance role or a pure technical securities role? Assume both are big public companies. One (obviously) is high visibility with the board and execs and one is not but is more legal-skill heavy.

Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?
