Don’t think you’ll necessarily have to take a step back - SaaS isn’t rocket science but it’s also potentially more complex than the type of sales you’re in now. If you’re looking to stay in account management, I would emphasize those aspects with your current account deck + your pipe building experience. It wouldn’t hurt to put some sort of industry specific certification on your resume as well. LMK if you want to talk about anything my company could offer you, too (position wise). Currently looking for candidates out there.

You might have to. I moved from franchise recruitment to technical sales (my first degree is chemistry) but took a big pay cut to do so. I am now firmly established, have a substantial client base and make far more than I did in franchising, but it took time.
