Anyone else feel like they are barely able to work, maybe 2-3 hours a day of mediocre work now, due to WFH and depression and feel extremely stressed, anxious, depressed, shitty, worried to be caught, and overall shameful and a total failure? 😅

What holiday party did you get?
Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

Finally got approval from my manager to work from home!! I'm SF based and stressed about the coronavirus...Breathing a big sigh of relief and prepping for a lot of quality time with my cat.

Current Position: Base:120k, 5000-7500 annual bonus, profit sharing (15% of 120k salary). This is a job I’m good at, team is great, lots of free time during but limited to my house. In office 1-2 days a week.

Offer: Consulting position, 145k base, bonus up to 12%, 6% 401k match. Will need to bill at least 45 hours a week, consulting is completely new to me so the fear is the unknown as well as being overworked. Fully remote other than travel.

Is saying COVID (ie WFH) hires are weak and perform poorly just another iteration of "back in my day we could..."? It really feels like people moved from dumping on "weak" millennials to gen z.

What does being terminated as an associate look like during WFH? Our office is having a serious drop in billable hours. If one of us was terminated, how awkward is it to get things from the office?

Scenario: A person with 13 YOE had 40 lpa fixed + 10 % bonus total 44 lpa ctc salary in her company. She switches to Infosys at a salary cut due to location constraints and was paid 40 Lpa ctc (only 32 fixed and 8 lpa variable out of which only 50-60% is paid). While in probation period in Infosys, she receives a permanent wfh opportunity from a small but fast growing company at 45 lpa fixed. So overall benefit she has is 45-36=9 lacs. Should she leave Infosys and join the new smaller company?

Can any Infosys Senior Consultants shed light on this? My tentative salary discussion with HR was done on 9-May, i agreed to the salary they proposed, after that they said i'll get offer letter in 2-3 weeks. It has been more than a month now, yet there is no update. On their careers portal, the status is "Review in progress". I followed up with HR a couple of times, they just said they will 'update me soon'. Should i take it that it is not coming now?

Gained knowledge of cyber security and planning to switch . Infosys currently agreeing to switch to IVS unit however not agreeing to any salary hike or Hybrid or WFH Model

On other hand has offer from Israel product based telecom company on Devops role with 60% salary hike and hybrid work policy(planning to switch domain to cyber security 1 year later)

Which is the better option to go for ?
