What to expect on the first round BCG interview with partner for experienced consultant role. Been told it’s an opportunity for me to learn about BCG and tell about my experiences.
Thinking about leaving B4. Will be a senior 1 in tax come October. Been doing some thinking and can’t decide if being in tax long term is for me. Want to transition into finance role. Thinking about leaving to be a finance associate somewhere and wanted to get input as the career paths for these moves. Ultimately want to be a CFO I think. I know pay is variable but in northeast is it substantial? Worth foregoing the chance of being partner? Fear is not making it and then being pigeon holed.
Any Big 4 or MBB Healthcare (Provider) folks here and care to share their experiences (e.g., recruiting, hiring process, length / types of engagements etc.)?
Post MBA - MBB vs FAANG product management role vs Startup Biz Opps role vs IB (2 year Associate) for getting into Venture Capital?
Who here thinks consulting slides are a lot of bs? I come from a technical role in industry, and it certainly feels that way.
Does anyone know the common exit ops from The Valuation group at Big 4? IB? FP&A? Corporate development? I’m in audit and looking to make the transition over to the valuation team.
Take the Easy associate job that pays more with great brand name, great pay, great benefits, seemingly good manager, but the role isn’t what you want and isn’t as good of a stepping stone OR the difficult manager role that has great role, high impact, helps you learn, good skill development, average benefits, good pay (but not crazy outstanding), solid brand name BUT you don’t know the team/manager well & pay/benefits isn’t as high as the first
Several posts here about exit plans. I posted this thread on another bowl and it’s getting a lot of traction. Feel free to follow my journey here
Considering applying to a role at ZS Associates. Can someone enlighten me about the firm culture compared to Big 4? This would be for financial services vertical.
Starting my first new role since getting promoted to Consultant end of last year. Very nervous that I am not qualified, will fail/ not know what I am doing and overall not cont'd below...
Put in a management position after being a freelance Sr. Producer for 6 months, have no support for a year, turn the biz around, get praises for a year....no raise when raise cycle hits
We recently had several people promoted to manager with less than 3 years consulting / overall work experience - I personally feel this is too little for a Manager role, what are your thoughts?

Any Canadian bilingual community/social media managers looking for work? We’re hiring for a remote role.
Are any top consulting firms hiring for experienced analysts currently? I know ACN and some others are cyclical for resources 2-3 years out of college, but I’m looking to make a move sooner than fall
Do Big 4 firms ever match a competing salary if you’re going to another Big 4 in hopes that you’ll stay? Have y’all seen this happen? If so, what was that convo like?
Question about referrals. If someone you don’t personally know reaches out from your network asking for a referral (alum from same school or someone who worked at the same company you did), do you do it, or no?
New gig. Practice lead. NYC. VP still. $200k. Thoughts? I interviewed for other positions that were $190k but SVP with less responsibility.
Looking for base salary ranges for EY Tax Senior Manager for Cleveland OH area in the technology group. Have ~8 years of MGMT experience and ~14 years of software/engineering experience.
Hi ladies! I am seeking advice as I am torn between between prepping and applying to MBA or FAANG jobs. I currently am at 4.5 YOE, 150K base, engineering manager. My network has advised that an MBA can help pivot careers as I’m exploring content strategy (Netflix). One of my goals is to also work in London. I will add that there is an expectation in my family for higher education and candidly, my longer term goal is a CXO position. Thank you!
Is it possible to go through the interview process for 2 different positions at EY at the same time (Treasury and Supply Chain) or do I need to pick one? I’m assuming the answer is i have to pick one.
Husband just got laid off. He's getting some severance and healthcare till august and my income can support us both alright. Any tips on how to hanfle financially/emotionally?
I’m a relatively new college hire and recently brushed up my LinkedIn. I started having several headhunters reaching out about different opportunities. It seems like they usually don’t name the actual firm they’re working for or much other relevant detail. I guess it’s because the headhunters are an independent staffing firm? Anyways, any recommendations on how seriously I should take these type of messages or whether to get on the phone with them just to check it out? Could be MBB I guess lol
If given the chance, what would be your reasons for switching to another big 4 or to MBB? (Especially taking into account the network/brand you've built already)
Can anyone share how they have terminated/laid off during a virtual only environment? Specifically several people at once. How does the process/logistics look? Wondering what is the best process/logistics to take for those being let go. Also, for those who stay, what worked best -communication wise? How have you handled equipment and any other security considerations given that the person(s) are not in the office.
Got interviewed by an older man who looked visibly uncomfortable throughout and felt the need to name drop the fact that he had a wife and kids early into the convo. I wasn’t flirting (cont.)
any insight on severance packages from ACN? joined in july, been on the bench since, feel like it isn’t necessarily imminent at this point, but figure that i should begin to prepare mentally jic
