Hi all, I am currently at the position of SE and got 1.5 YOE(in .Net) .i feel like i am getting underpaid even though i have got insta award 2 times.So for which position should i be looking for if i want to leave the company for a good raise and which more skill set i should get?Infosys

Don't ever get trapped into Insta awards, MVP awards, Gold awards, platinum awards
They are just a trap for employees so that they behave as obedient work bots, without caring about their salary.
Telling you from my 10 YoE at Infosys. Your package will be equal to your YoE if you ask me(ignore initial salary as fresher)

i.e. CTC= 1*YoE

If you are a**licker with good repo with DM, it will be 1.3*YoE (MAX)

If you switch, it might change to 3*YoE

Good companies wouldn’t care about what tech stack you have worked on. The belief is that tech stack is just a tool to convert business ideas into reality(which is what you are paid for). The first part can be learned on the job but the second part is what these companies look for and this is why we SEs are paid so much.
That said, if you still are fixated on a techstack at 1.5 yoe, then you can pick spring boot(if backend eng) or react.js and its friends(if frontend eng).
This is what I use.

As you have not mentioned your ctc i am assuming it will be in between 4-5 lpa which is totally normal for a service based company like wiprp tcs or infy to offer..but if you want to upskill yourself..then dont work in legacy based application much...get into total ddvelopment ...make yourself a full stack developer eother angular or react...angular have more opening than react so choose acc to yourself...at the same time do some poc in microservice architecture if you are not currently working on one then....so to sum it up work in .net core with angular and if possible learn atleast five services of azure like setvice bus, functions ,storage container etc...after doing this you think for swirching so you might get a better and more salary than your on par candidates

Learn more languages- Java and python. You don't have to be pro at it. Be a full stack developer. Be a techie and have a knack of understanding things

I have been working as an Ops coordinator for 2 years (plus a month) and I am currently interviewing for a promotion - Supervisor, Operations. I have my last round tomorrow. (Location: Canada)

Transition to Consulting? Going to have 2-3 competing jobs offers that I need to make a decision by the end of the week on.

Short Rant: Got a referral for an AWS role, when I got the HR email to complete my candidacy 2 days later I was rejected without any type of phone screening or anything.

Especially when I met more than 90% of the requirements (entry level position) & I work in the field they are looking for. I am so perplexed & feel stupid.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I thought it was very hard for a referral to NOT at least get a screening call. What did (or didn't) I do right.
