I am currently working in a leading architecture and design firm for almost a year now. I have 3 years of experience. When I started in this firm I was told that they will reconsider my position in sometime. I recently asked HR regarding salary review, but he denied and said they are not considering anymore salary this year and next salary considerations would be in Q1 of next year(6 more months). I know I’m being underpaid. What should do or how should I negotiate?
Please advise.

Just received a nice offer for a job that an old colleague recruited me for. Would be moving from a job I like and have spent 8 years at. Told HR my range was $180-210k during our initial convo and that a more specific number would be based on benefit package. My goal was to hit $200k between base and bonus. They came in at $190k and said bonus is anywhere from 3-7% depending on the year, so in total with bonus would be somewhere between $195-$203k. Continued in comments..

Hi! I’m an Admin Assistant at a financial investment company in NYC making 72k+OT+bonus. I’m about to start interviewing again for similar roles, how do you recommend I negotiate? If they ask me, I want to give them a range between 100-115k but do i tell them that’s before bonus or total and whatnot? not sure if that seems high but i believe my skills are reflected in that amount (also living in nyc isn’t cheap lol). After much hard work, I recently interviewed & was offered a VERY AMBITIOUS role however the salary offered to me was $13K LESS than the start of the range for that position! (It was posted on job description) Not only that, they lowered the band for that role. What does this mean? Also, any tips for negotiating salary?
