So… you’re 2 years out of undergrad, potentially moving from a Big 4 to an MBB firm, and you’re salty about potentially being hired with the same title as a fresh undergrad hire? Do I have that right?

Typical Deloitte lol

Title being the same dowsnt mean salary and expectations are. Senior associate is a title by us but 3 cohorts at differnt salary points....May be its similar there

Okay understood. Fair. Should I just lightly bring this up in my interview? Or completely avoid it?

Pay bands are higher for experienced hires (I know this to be true at McK and BCG for sure)

For generalist consulting roles. Not familiar with others

I know people with 10 years of experience and an MBA coming into the same role as people 3 years out of undergrad. YOE means nothing. Also, these are very meritocratic organizations, so if you’re a top performer it won’t matter where you started

Do you ever go through an interview totally prepared and you’re thinking “I am seriously nailing this!” And you leave it feeling super good, but you remember one thing you said that could have been misconstrued, or something you did that was maybe weird, and by the next day you just feel like you completely bombed it? No, just me? Are there any true indicators for knowing whether you did well in an interview or nah?

Currently an SC at EY with an offer at Deloitte Consulting as an SC. I have 4 years of experience and the base pay would be 30% more. If I stay I can get promoted to manager in a year if I leave that may be extended by 2 more years. Deloitte SC take around 4 years to get there vs EYs 2 and everyone I talk to says this is a promotion even if it has the same title. Is it worth it to leave?

Big Four consultants, what is your firm’s policy for this year on promotions, raises, bonuses, layoffs? At PwC there’s a freeze on raises, minimal promotions and smaller bonuses. Pay-cut for partners. No layoffs, at least in the near future.

Does Big4 hire ACCA individuals from international countries (they will not need visa sponsorship and would be legally authorized to work in USA).
